What to Expect

When you arrive at the church, greeters are available to guide you to our GSBC Kids check-in area. From there, you will go to your child's classroom and be greeted by one of our incredible volunteers. Every classroom has at least two adult volunteers. All of our volunteers are trained, dedicated, compassionate, and have completed a comprehensive background check. In the event we need to contact you during the service, we will text the phone number you provided at check-in.

Questions & Answers

Here are some answers to common questions.

Infant & Toddlers will focus on establishing trust by meeting needs consistently — diaper changes, feedings, extra snuggles after a tough drop-off — and provide opportunities for singing, snacks, toys, and bible stories.

Our Early Childhood class enjoy singing and story time with a snack, craft, or activity that helps strengthen that day’s lesson — and plenty of time to get all of the wiggles out through play and games.

Our Elementary classes will have singing followed by a fun teaching time, and may incorporate bible memory, games, and snacks.

  • First time guests will be asked to complete an information card. It is important that you indicate if your child has any allergies, special needs, or custody issues so we can address your needs.
  • If for any reason a volunteer in any class would need to reach you, they will text the number provided at check-in.
  • When a child is dropped off they will receive a name tag with all important information and requests listed. Parents dropping off Infants & Toddlers will also receive a pick-up ticket to be returned after the service to allow us to release that child from our care.
  • Our pick-up at the Kids' Building is ran similiarly to school pick-up lines. Parents will form a car line in front of the kids building and a volunteer will release your child directly to the car. You are also welcome to walk down to the Kids' Building for pick-up.

The screening process for volunteers includes an application, interview and a comprehensive background check. All of the volunteers in our Kids' Minsitries are members of the church who also personally attend services regularly. We are thankful that so many quality volunteers have stepped forward to help teach kids about the Bible and to encourage them in their walk with the Lord.

We encourage parents to take their children to the restroom before the service begins. However, if the need arises, children are escorted to and from kids only restroom facilities.
